The modern music journalism landscape is severely bloated with clickbait and algorithm-driven echo chambers. To genuinely stand out, this brand needed a digital environment that felt disruptive, deeply credible, and fundamentally distinct from mainstream media aggregators. The objective was to build a bespoke editorial infrastructure that elevated their unapologetic voice while retaining the strict structural integrity required for massive content scaling.

I approached the UI/UX as a brutalist, yet highly refined editorial canvas. The design intentionally eschews standard blog templating in favor of stark contrast, bold typography, and an unapologetic visual hierarchy that actively forces the user to confront the text. The back-end was architected to provide David Flanzer with maximum agility, allowing for the rapid deployment of high-impact critiques without ever compromising site speed or aesthetic intent.
